What does being a GGS mean to you?
Being a girl gone strong is an amazing opportunity to inspire, bond with, and motivate other women just like me. It means cheering on and supporting other women who share my passion. I get to listen to other women share their struggles and stories of inspiration, words of motivation, achievements-and I relate to them! I am honored to be a girl gone strong.

What inspires and motivates you?
My two boys are always my number one driving force, but these days I am definitely motivated by seeing where I started on this journey and how far I have come. I can finally see my potential so I continue to reach for the stars.
What's the coolest side effect you have seen from lifting heavy?
I must say...
I never saw myself as a role model for other women, and it is an amazing feeling when woman look at me and say that I inspire them to to train harder.
Next training goal?
I am always looking to set new PR's with my heavy lifts, but my current main focus is mastering a forearm stand (pincha mayurasana).
Three words that best describe you:
Determined, hopeful, and brave.
What do you want to say to other women who might be nervous to start lifting heavy?
I feel that lifting heavy has transformed me in every way-physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I have found new confidence, created and achieved goals I thought were impossible and balanced my nutrition. Most importantly, I have become a role model for my children and other women in my community.
The fear of trying something new is so small in comparison to what you will gain as a girl gone strong.
