Cassandra Forsythe PhD, RD, is an Assistant Professor of PE and Human Performance at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). She is also the author of two popular books for women—The New Rules of Lifting for Women and Women’s Health Perfect Body Diet—as well as the Girls Gone Strong book, The Modern Woman’s Guide To Good Nutrition.

She earned her doctorate (PhD) in Exercise Science and Nutrition from the University of Connecticut and is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN).

From 2009 until 2015, Cass owned and operated Fitness Revolution Vernon, a 4000 square foot facility in Vernon, Connecticut where she helped clients of all ages and ability levels reach their health and physique goals through safe, effective, and fun group strength and conditioning classes.
Cass loves to tackle controversial topics and debunk myths about fitness and nutrition. She expertly simplifies research and scientific writing to make the information accessible and easy for everyone to understand.
