Strong Women Lift Each Other Up Video Series

What You MUST Know About Girls Gone Strong

Not too long ago, while reading community comments on our Girls Gone Strong Facebook page, I came across a comment in which a woman recommended one of our articles to a friend, with a side note that went something like, “This is surely one of those sites that sells special shakes but they also give great advice—worth reading!”

I loved seeing that she was recommending our information to her friends, but felt compelled to respond to the “special shakes” comment. I wrote a short note thanking her for her kind words, and added, “…just to be clear, we don’t sell any ‘special shakes’… In fact, we don’t affiliate, promote, or endorse any products on our site, and we don’t allow any advertising.”

The truth is that we’ve actually turned down hundreds of thousands of dollars (at least) by turning down all of these kinds of opportunities. Instead, we are fully funded solely by sales of our handbooks, training programs, and coaching. This decision wasn’t made by accident. It was very deliberate. We want to be 100% in charge of maintaining the integrity of information we make available to our community.

In addition, we don’t allow any advertising on our website or social media platforms. Every day we receive emails from companies asking to purchase advertising space.

They all want to know how much we charge for access to YOU, our community, and without hesitation we always respond the same way: by letting them know that our community is not for sale.

YOU are not for sale. Our reputation is not for sale. Our integrity is not for sale.

You can trust what you read on Girls Gone Strong. We never want the content we provide or the decisions we make to be influenced by advertising dollars. We feel very strongly about this. We are driven by truth, integrity, and a desire to give women the world over the tools to discern between good information and nonsense.

We strive to make valuable information accessible to every woman.

We believe every woman is enough as she is. We believe that the ultimate way to empower her is to give her the space to make any and all the decisions she wants to make about her body and about her life, judgment-free. Every single day we provide information to help them do exactly that.

You may be wondering how we can offer so much great FREE information—and how we can do it consistently with zero money coming in from endorsements, promotions, ads, and affiliations. Simple: we are fully funded through the information, products, and programs we create ourselves that let you choose the level of guidance you prefer.

Health and happiness are about so much more than your squat PR or the size of your jeans. True health and happiness also means having the confidence and knowledge to eat and train in the way that is best for you and your body.

You’ll learn how fitness can enhance your life without becoming your life, as well as how to heal your relationships with your body and with food, and how to exercise and eat in a way that’s enjoyable and sustainable.

You won’t be following a cookie-cutter program or crushing yourself in the gym every day. Your coach will write you a training program that addresses your goals, and that will help you get the results you want by training smarter, not harder.

Hating your body into submission never works, and we don’t promote that approach. Instead we give you simple steps to focus on your inner dialogue and self-talk so you learn to give yourself more compassion and grace. You’ll no longer tie your self-image to a number on the scale or a body fat percentage, and you will learn how to treat your body with the respect and love it deserves.

Girls Gone Strong Apparel

Our Girls Gone Strong apparel is yet another way to support our mission.

You’re never required to buy anything, of course, and you will always be able to access the free content we provide. (In fact, if you subscribe to our newsletter below, every week you’ll always get our best content delivered straight to your inbox!) But it’s important to us that you understand that we do everything we can to consistently publish the absolute best information, and that your support is what makes it all possible—not a big corporation that doesn’t care about your health and well-being.

In the fitness industry, no one else is doing things the way we are. Most people would say that what we do simply doesn’t make business sense. Most people prioritize the bottom line, and everything else comes second (if at all). We prioritize you. We want to always be your most trusted resource, and for that reason, we will never compromise our reputation and will always hold ourselves accountable for the quality of all our information.
