This Privacy Policy explains how Girls Gone Strong LLC ("GGS," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the GGS Academy mobile application (the "App") available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

This policy applies to all App users worldwide, including users in the United States, European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and other countries. It is separate from our web-based GGS Academy privacy policy that governs use of learn.girlsgonestrong.com.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. About the App and Our Service Provider

The GGS Academy App is a learning platform that delivers our women's health and fitness certification courses, including the Women's Coaching Specialist, Menopause Coaching Specialist, and Pre & Postnatal Coaching certifications, to mobile devices.

The App is built and maintained by Liquid Web, LLC (operating as LearnDash/StellarWP) under contract with Girls Gone Strong LLC. Liquid Web acts as a service provider (also called a "data processor" under GDPR) that processes user data on our behalf. They are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes, including their own marketing or advertising.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:

Account Information You Provide

• Name
• Email address
• Username and password (passwords are stored using industry-standard security measures)
• Mailing address (only if required for certification or shipping)

Course Activity

• Courses enrolled in and progress through lessons
• Quiz scores and assessment submissions
• Certificate completions
• Time spent in lessons and activity timestamps

Device and Usage Information (Collected Automatically)

• Device identifiers and diagnostic identifiers used for App functionality, analytics, security, and crash reporting
• Device model, operating system version, and language settings
• App version and crash logs
• Performance diagnostic data
• General usage data (which features you use, when you open the App)
• IP address (used for security, fraud prevention, and region-level analytics)

Push Notification Token

If you opt in and grant permission, the App receives a push notification token from Apple or Google so we can send you course updates, reminders, and account notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Offline Course Access

If you choose to download courses for offline access, some data (such as lesson content, quiz responses, and progress markers) may be processed and stored temporarily on your device to support offline use and synchronization with our servers. This data is synced back when your device reconnects to the internet.

Biometric Authentication

We do not collect, store, access, or transmit any biometric data. If your device supports biometric authentication (such as Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint recognition) and you choose to enable it to log into the App, this feature is handled entirely by your device's operating system. The App only receives confirmation from your device that authentication was successful — it never sees, processes, or stores your fingerprint, face data, or any biometric identifier. You may disable biometric login at any time in your device settings.

Information We Do NOT Collect Through the App

• Location data (the App does not access GPS or precise location)
• Camera, photo library, or microphone
• Contacts or calendar
• Health data, fitness tracking data, or personal medical information
• Payment card data (purchases happen on our website, not in the App)
• Social media login data (the App uses email/password authentication and optional device-level biometric authentication only — no social media logins such as Facebook or Google)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected through the App to:

• Create and manage your Academy account
• Deliver course content and track your learning progress
• Issue and store your completion certificates
• Send push notifications about course updates and account activity (if you opt in)
• Send transactional and course-related emails
• Respond to support requests
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and security concerns
• Improve App functionality and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Service Providers and Third Parties

Your data may be processed by the following service providers operating under contractual agreements that restrict their use of your data to providing services to GGS:

You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements (such as tax records).

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your GGS Academy account at any time using either of the following methods:

• From within the App: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
• By email: Send a deletion request to info@girlsgonestrong.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

Upon deletion, your account and associated personal data will be removed from active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (such as transaction records for tax purposes) or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

7. Children's Privacy

The GGS Academy App is intended for adult learners pursuing professional certifications in women's health and fitness coaching. The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

If we learn we have collected information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@girlsgonestrong.com.

8. Your Rights

All Users

All App users may:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link
• Disable push notifications in your device settings

EEA, UK, and Other Applicable Jurisdictions

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you also have the right to:

• Receive a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent for any consent-based processing at any time

• Contractual necessity — to deliver the certification courses and services you purchased
• Legitimate interests — including securing the App, preventing fraud, improving platform performance, and understanding how users engage with course content
• Consent — for marketing communications, optional features such as push notifications, and any processing where consent is required
• Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, tax requirements, and lawful requests from authorities

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit use under California law.

Do Not Track Signals

Because the App does not track users across third-party apps, websites, or services for advertising purposes, it does not respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals.

9. International Data Transfers

Girls Gone Strong LLC is based in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

For users in the EEA and UK, where applicable, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension, and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You may request information about the safeguards we use by emailing info@girlsgonestrong.com.

10. Educational Use Disclaimer

The GGS Academy App provides educational content for adults pursuing health and fitness coaching certifications. Content delivered through the App is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App does not collect personal health information from users. Users should consult qualified healthcare providers for personal medical concerns.

11. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including:

• SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit
• Encrypted storage of passwords
• Access controls limiting who on our team can access user data
• Vetted third-party providers operating under data processing agreements

No method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or by email before changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
