Our experts have worked with Yale, the Olympics, Johns Hopkins, Baylor, Precision Nutrition, TIME, People, ABC, Today, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Perform Better, and the NSCA

If you’re certified but you don’t have any clients, this might sound familiar.

You finished your certification, and then nothing happened. You’re not sure what step one even is.

You get overwhelmed by the tech — website, email, social — so you keep putting off starting.

You’ve thought, “who am I to charge for this?” more than once.

You don’t know what to charge, or you feel awkward asking for the sale.

You don’t feel comfortable calling yourself a coach yet, even though you’re qualified.

You’ve told yourself you’ll start once you feel ready, but “ready” never seems to come.

1 in 4

of the coaches who finish a certification with us don’t have a single paying client.

Nearly half

of our graduates say getting clients and building their business is their next big challenge.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and it’s not your fault.

You read, you studied, you did the work, and you passed the exam. This isn’t a coaching knowledge problem. It’s a gap in business knowledge — and that makes sense because your certification was designed to make you a great coach for women — not a business expert.

That’s why we created our Coaching Business Foundations program.

Over the next 8–12 weeks, we’ll walk you step-by-step through exactly how to get your first 3–5 paying clients with zero guesswork.

You’ll learn what to offer, what to charge, and who to share your coaching offer with and how — so by the end of the program you’ll have paying clients, coaching reps under your belt, and testimonials to help you get even more clients.

You know how to be a great coach for women. Now you need clients.

Your certification taught you how to coach women: movement assessment, programming, nutrition skills, behavior change, and how to actually help a woman get results in the context of her real life.

What it didn’t teach you is how to find your first client.

That’s what Coaching Business Foundations does.

A coach working one-on-one with a client — Coaching Business Foundations with Girls Gone Strong

If you don’t have any clients, and you don’t know where to start — Coaching Business Foundations is for you.

Whether you got certified last month or three years ago and never started, whether you want to coach online, in a gym, or in your own neighborhood, this is where you begin.

What you get with Coaching Business Foundations

01

One simple offer, confidently priced

Build your Prototype Program: a small, real, sellable offer with a specific length, price, and outcome. Not a signature program you spend a year perfecting. Something you can sell next week.

02

A list of prospective clients

A guided process that turns, “I don’t know anybody,” or, “I don’t have a big social media following,” into a clear list of real prospects with the exact message to send each one. This is the single most-skipped step, and it is where almost everyone stalls.

03

The client conversation, scripted

Word-for-word frameworks you can use with your list of prospects: how to start the conversation, what to ask, when to make the offer, and how to say your price. Whether you’re having these conversations via email, DM, or on a discovery call, you’ll learn exactly what to say in a natural way so the sales part doesn’t feel like selling.

04

Your first 3–5 paying clients

Your offer + your list of prospects + your client conversation frameworks is exactly what it takes to get your first 3–5 paying clients — and we’ll walk you through every step so you always know exactly what to do next.

05

The business paperwork, done for you

Client agreements, intake and onboarding forms, follow-up messaging, and pricing calculators. You’ll get all the administrative paperwork that stops people from starting, already done-for-you. You just fill in the blanks with your specific info and you’re good to go!

06

Testimonials and social proof

By the time you finish your Prototype Program, you’ll have coached three to five real people to a real result — and we’ll show you exactly when and how to ask each of them for a testimonial. That’s the thing every prospective client is looking for before she hires anyone: proof that someone like her got what she wanted. You’ll finish this program with it in hand.

How Coaching Business Foundations Is Different from Other Business Programs

It starts at zero.

Every other business program assumes you have clients and want more. This one assumes you’re starting from zero and walks you through how to get your first 3–5. No lesson requires an existing audience, email list, or testimonials you don’t have.

It’s laser-focused on getting you clients — now.

Every lesson in this program moves you closer to getting paying clients. This program is NOT about branding, logos, designing websites, creating content calendars, or building funnels. You can worry about that stuff later. If it doesn’t help you get a client in the next few days or weeks, it isn’t in here.

It’s built for online or in-person coaches.

Most of our graduates coach in person — in gyms, in their own neighborhoods, or part-time around another job. Plenty coach online. And plenty do both. Every strategy here works either way, because it’s built around how you want to work, not how a marketing course thinks you should.

It’s focused on action, not theory.

You learn one thing, then you go do it. The lessons are short on purpose — just enough to take the next right step, never more. You could start tonight and be having a real conversation with a real prospect this week. By the end you won’t have a notebook full of theory. You’ll have an offer, a list of prospects, and conversation scripts to turn those prospects into paying clients.

This program will qualify for continuing education credits with the following organizations worldwide, including:

CEU-approved organizations: NASM, AFAA, NESTA, canfitpro, Fitness Leadership Alberta (AFLCA), ISSA, ACE, NCSF, and CPTN

Even if your organization isn’t listed above, we’ll help you petition and gain CECs / CEUs.

Our students have successfully petitioned and gained CECs / CEUs from many other organizations.

FROM MOLLY GALBRAITH, CO-FOUNDER

Why I Built Coaching Business Foundations

Molly Galbraith, GGS co-founder

In 2004 I was 19, posting my own workouts and progress on a fitness forum. A woman messaged me and asked if I’d help her. I told her the truth — I wasn’t a coach yet. But I said I could show her what had worked for me, and she said that was fine.

She got in incredible shape.

That’s how my coaching business started. No niche. No formal business plan. No fancy name, no logo, no website. One person who wanted help, and me saying yes.

It stayed that way for years. Clients came from that forum, from the gym I worked out at, from friends, from people who knew people. I said yes to all of them. I coached plenty of clients who aren’t anything like the ones GGS works with today, but every single one taught me something I couldn’t have learned any other way.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I said yes before I was ready, and that’s exactly what gave me the experience I needed to be a great coach with a thriving business.

Today I watch certified coaches do the opposite. They agonize over the business name. They spend weeks perfecting the logo. They scroll past someone with a bigger following and quietly decide they’re not ready yet. All of it feels like progress, and none of it is the thing that actually starts a business.

You don’t need to be ready. You need reps with real clients. That’s what you get with Coaching Business Foundations.

Why You Should Take Action Now

Six months from now, one of two things will be true: either you’re still waiting, reading one more article about getting started, considering another certification, and crossing your fingers someone asks about hiring you.

Or — you have a Prototype Program, a list of prospects, you’ve taken your first 3–5 paying clients, helped them get results, gotten testimonials from them, and you’re using them to get more clients.

The difference isn’t talent or another credential. It’s being willing to take the first step.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get when I join the pre-sale list?
When you join our free, no-obligation pre-sale list you’ll get more information about the program — plus you’ll get the chance to enroll early and save up to 40% off the general public price.
When does enrollment open?
March 7, 2027. If you join the pre-sale list you’ll get an email with the exact dates ahead of time, and you’ll get the chance to enroll 72 hours before the general public.
What exactly is Coaching Business Foundations?
A self-paced online program that takes you from 0 clients to your first 3–5 paying clients. You’ll build one simple offer, price it with confidence, and learn how to get coaching clients from the network you already have — friends, family, colleagues, and the people around you in your gym or community. No big social media following required, and no pressure to lock in a coaching niche before you’ve coached anybody. You’ll figure out who you love working with by working with people. It’s delivered inside GGS Academy as video lessons, guided digital worksheets, done-for-you templates, and action checklists for your coaching services. It’s 100% digital, and there is no textbook.
Who is Coaching Business Foundations for?
CBF is for any health and fitness professional who wants clients and doesn’t have them yet. It’s perfect for personal trainers, health and wellness coaches, nutrition coaches, group fitness instructors, yoga and Pilates teachers, strength coaches, and people moving into fitness from another field. Nearly 40% of our GGS Academy students are making a career coaching transition, and we built CBF with them in mind. If you already have clients and you want to fill your roster, our Client Growth Accelerator is the better fit.
Does this teach me how to coach?
No, and that is deliberate. Our health and fitness certifications teach you how to be great coach for women through movement assessments, exercise programming, nutrition, and behavior change psychology. Our business programs teach you how to start, grow, and build your coaching business. Coaching Business Foundations is a business program for coaches who have 0 clients and want to get their first 3–5. If you want the coaching skills, look at our Women’s Coaching Specialist, Pre- and Postnatal, or Menopause Coaching Certifications.
Do I need a certification first?

No. There are no prerequisites required to enroll.

However, you should be clear on what you’re getting. Coaching Business Foundations teaches you how to get clients — not how to coach them. Most of our students are already certified, either with us or through another organization, and they enroll in CBF because the certification gave them the skills to coach, but not the skills to get clients.

If that’s you, this is the piece that was missing.

How is this different from the Client Growth Accelerator?
Coaching Business Foundations is Level 1 and it takes you from 0 clients to your first 3–5 clients, online or in person. Client Growth Accelerator is Level 2, and it assumes you already have some clients and want a repeatable system for filling your client roster with online clients. CGA is the more advanced program. Start here if you are at or near 0 clients.
What if I want to coach clients in person?

Perfect — that’s no problem at all. Coaching Business Foundations is designed to help you get your first 3–5 clients whether you want to coach in person, online, or a mix of both.

Nothing in this program assumes you’re building an online business. The offer you build, the list of prospects you make, and the conversations you have all work exactly the same if your clients are people in your gym, your neighborhood, or your existing circle. If anything, in-person is often the faster path to your first few clients, because the people closest to you already know and trust you.

How long does it take, and how much time each week?
If you dedicate 2–4 hours a week to CBF, you can finish the program with your first 3–5 clients in just 8–12 weeks. You’ll spend about half your time learning and half your time putting what you’re learning into action. It’s self-paced with lifetime access, so you can go at the pace that fits your life.
How much does it cost?

The general public price of CBF is $1,500, but we have BIG discounts for enrolling during the pre-sale window.

Here are the specifics:

General public price:

  • Monthly payment plan: $124.99/month x 12 months ($1,500)
  • Pay in full: $1,199.99 (save $300 or 20%)

Pre-sale price:

  • Monthly payment plan: $89.99/month x 13 months (save $330 or 22%)
  • Pay in full: $899.99 (save $600 or 40%)

That’s why we highly recommend joining the pre-sale list, so you can enroll early and save up to 40%.

Is there really a money-back guarantee?

Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee.

If you enroll and decide Coaching Business Foundations isn’t right for you, just let us know within 30 days and we’ll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Will this qualify for CEUs or CECs?
Yes, this program will qualify for continuing education credits from NASM, AFAA, NESTA, canfitpro, ISSA, ACE, NCSF, and CPTN. If your organization is not listed, we will help you petition for credit.
What if I don’t know my coaching niche yet?

No problem. You don’t need one to get started. Picking a coaching niche before you’ve coached anybody is just guessing. You find out who you love working with — and who lights you up — by actually working with people. Right now what you need is reps, clients, income, and feedback. Your coaching niche will come from that, not before it.

So in Coaching Business Foundations you’ll get clear enough on who you can help and what you help them with that you can say it out loud to a stranger without hedging. That’s it. Then you go get your first 3–5 clients, and some of them won’t be your ideal client at all. That’s completely fine — every one of them is teaching you something and getting you closer to the business you actually want.

I hate social media. Do I need a big following?
No. Every strategy in this program works without a big social media following. Your fastest first clients almost always come from people you already know and from real conversations, not from going viral on social media. We cover messaging and a simple online presence so people can find and trust you, but a big audience is never a requirement.
I genuinely don’t know how to get coaching clients. Where do I start?

You start with the people you already know. Every client attraction strategy in this program begins there, because that’s where almost everybody’s first clients actually come from.

Here’s the reframe most coaches need: your network is far bigger than you think it is. When people hear “network” they picture their close friends and family, count about ten people, and decide they’re out of luck. But your network is every person you’ve ever had a connection with — plus everyone they know. So we’ll walk you through a mapping exercise that gets all of them on paper. Your inner circle. Then former colleagues, classmates, teammates, neighbors. Then the outer ring you’d never think of — people from old jobs, parents at your kids’ school, your hairdresser, someone from church or synagogue you haven’t spoken to in three years, the Facebook groups you’re already in, the meetups and local networking events you already show up to.

And you’re not pitching all of them. Mostly you’re just telling people what you’re doing now and asking who they know. Some become clients. Plenty become referrals. That web of loose connections is how new coaches get started, and it’s why you don’t need an audience or a following to fill your first roster.

The hard part isn’t logistical, it’s psychological. Saying “I’m a coach and I’m taking clients” out loud feels scary the first few times. So we practice it, and we give you the words — how to bring it up naturally, how to get someone to book a call with you for a free consultation, what to ask on that discovery call, when to make the offer, and how to say your price without flinching. You’ll get word-for-word scripts for email, DMs, and conversations.

Then you cast a wide net and learn as you go. Tell more people than feels comfortable. Notice who responds. Your best clients will surprise you, and so will where they come from.

Do I need a website, an email list, or paid ads?

No. Not for your first clients, and probably not for a while after that.

This is one of the biggest things that keeps new coaches stuck. You decide you need a website, a logo, a lead magnet, an email list, and an Instagram strategy before you’re allowed to charge anyone — and then you spend six months building all of it instead of coaching. I’ve watched it happen hundreds of times.

Your first 3–5 clients will come from people you already know and the people they know. That takes a conversation, not a sophisticated funnel.

So Coaching Business Foundations skips all of it. We’ll tell you plainly what to ignore for now, and what a minimum online presence actually looks like so someone who hears about you can find you and see that you’re real. Email marketing, lead magnets, SEO and keyword research so your coaching services show up in search, LinkedIn, webinars, and Facebook ads are all real tools — they’re just Future You tools. Get paid first. Build the machine later.

What is the Prototype Program?
It’s the offer you build and sell inside the program. Instead of spending months perfecting a signature program no one signs up for, you create one small, real offer with a specific length, price, and outcome, and take it to market immediately. You learn what people actually want by enrolling them in your program, getting feedback, and then refining it over time. It’s the fastest, lowest-risk path from zero to paid, and it is how most successful coaching practices actually begin. Once you have your first success stories and testimonials, everything after that gets easier.
